Everything in this setup is free: the UiPath Community Edition account and included platform access, Studio Desktop, Assistant, the UiPath Community Edition-compatible Robot and the free Zoom app. UiPath Community Edition is intended for eligible individuals and organisations, including small businesses with less than USD 5 million in annual revenue; read the official Community Agreement for the current terms.*
TaskSultan's first-automation service is also free for eligible customers within the agreed scope.
UiPath is the separate software company providing the automation platform. Register directly with UiPath, not TaskSultan, to create a free Automation Cloud account hosted by UiPath. The UiPath Community Edition plan includes one tenant, one Pro user, one Plus user, one Unattended Robot and a monthly Credits pool, subject to UiPath eligibility terms. Use a business email if you want to claim TaskSultan's free first automation.
Sign in to your own UiPath Cloud account (from Step 1), click Studio, go to Projects and select the Install Locally button. This downloads UiPathPlatform.msi, the UiPath Platform installer. It installs Studio Desktop: the Windows application for designing, testing and maintaining workflows, together with UiPath Assistant and the Robot. Once UiPathPlatform.msi has downloaded, run it. Your link contains your organisation's private tenant identifier, so it cannot be shared as one universal link.
Assistant and the Robot are installed with Studio in step 2. Now open Assistant, sign in with the same UiPath account and confirm that the local Robot is connected to your UiPath tenant. Assistant is the desktop launcher and control panel for available processes and attended runs.
Zoom is used for desktop sharing during Call Capture. The session is audio-only, but you will share your desktop while explaining the process so TaskSultan can see the steps, rules, exceptions and evidence needed for the automation brief. The free Zoom app is sufficient; no paid Zoom plan is required.
Choose a repetitive, low-hanging-fruit process and arrange the first audio call with TaskSultan. You will explain the process while sharing your desktop in Zoom; TaskSultan will capture the requirements and help confirm whether it is a suitable free first automation. Bring the subject matter expert and representative test data.
