#1. Create the UiPath account
Use the official UiPath Community Plan documentation. Eligibility, entitlements and current terms are controlled by UiPath and can change. Commercial organizations should check the Community Agreement, including the applicable annual-revenue limit.
#2. Install Studio
Install UiPath Studio on the Windows machine that can access the application being automated. Sign in with the customer’s UiPath account and confirm that a small test project can run.
#3. Prepare the walkthrough
Choose one process with a clear trigger, a repeatable happy path and a measurable result. Gather sample inputs and decide which data must remain on the customer machine.
#4. Capture and approve
Book the working session. The SME demonstrates the process. The developer captures requirements and targets, then sends the generated specification back for review.
#5. Build and test
Builder creates the draft. The developer checks selectors, exceptions, credentials, logs and outputs in Studio, runs representative tests and packages the result.
See selector capture and AutoHub Builder for the two technical handoffs.
